This virbant 3,500-square-foot bar in San Francisco’s SoMa neighborhood was inspired by Villa Nellcôte, the French mansion where the Rolling Stones recorded Exile on Main St. The layered interior included a 25-seat bar and library nook, translating the reference into a richly detailed hospitality space built for cocktails, food and late-night gathering. Sweitzer built a custom geometrically detailed backbar and zinc countertops to match the aesthetic.
